Nirmal Roy, living in Panikheti area in the outskirts of Guwahati, had applied for his passport at the Regional Passport Office, Guwahati, and was running from pillar to post to get it.

After waiting for several months, Mr Roy went to the regional passport office and tried to meet the regional passport officer to lodge a complain about the delay. Being not very educated, Mr Roy approached one of the employees there and requested for redressing his grievances. However, poor response of the officer provoked Mr Roy, who warned her that he would complain to the PM about her behavior. “The angry lady officer called the office guard and asked him to kick me out of the office,” said Mr Roy. He further said, “She also told me that you have given vote to Modi not me, so go to him for your passport.”

Mr Roy then decided to write to the PM in this regard. After a week he wrote the letter to the PM, his passport was delivered.
