All about iWatch

Apple is set to unveil its latest catalogue of products with the iPhone 6, the latest iPad and the much-awaited iWatch today at the Flint Centre in Cupertino, California. The launch is expected to be a big event as no Apple launch has taken place at the Flint Centre since the 1998 launch of iMac by Steve Jobs on his first product launch since his return from exile as Apple CEO. The other time an Apple product launch happened was when Steve Jobs launched his first Apple Macintosh computer. All the products are highly anticipated but we look at the newest product category that will be launched today, a first in four years, the iWatch.
So what are the expected features? Unlike the Moto 360 and the LG G Watch R, the Apple iWatch is expected to be a square digital watch with rounded edges. While one understands that the circular designs that Motorola and LG launched were considered to be the best designs for smart watches, we do expect the iWatch to be a stunner, considering Apple’s reputation of creating exquisite products.
The display could have a 1.5 inch display, possibly with Sapphire glass. But considering that recent leaks vis-a-vis the iPhone 6 have given contradictory facts, it is might have a Gorilla Glass display instead. The phone might be water resistant up to 20 metres and have a 200 to 250 mAh battery with wireless charging. According to some leaked specifications it might have a 8GB storage and have the Near Field Communication (NFC) feature to help with monetary transactions.
Apple has given early access to a select few App developers and social media sites like Facebook “under strict non-disclosure agreements,” in order to create special iWatch specific apps. The phone might be available at $400 in the US, possibly early next year, with cheaper variants expected too. With that price, expect it to be available in India in mid or late next year, possibly at a price tag of 25 to 30,000.
